Academics

Admission Norms

Admission is open to all people without any discrimination of caste or creed. Admission is restricted only according to the availability of seats. Being a minority institution, the Principal reserves the right to admit students of the Catholic minority on a preferential basis, with or without some concession in the matter of the criteria stated below.

Class I

Priority is given to students coming from our Shishu Bhavan branch. Fresh admissions to this class are made only if vacancies occur.

Classes II to IX

There is no regular registration for these classes. Admission is given only when vacancies occur. Admission to Class X and Class XII is discouraged.

Class XI

Since Class X is a terminal stage in the secondary school scheme of education followed by the school, admission to Class XI is considered a fresh admission.

Academic performance in the Class X examination is not the only criterion for admission to Class XI. Priority is given to our own students, considering their regularity in attendance, consistent academic performance in Classes VIII, IX and X, together with good conduct.

Fresh admission to Class XI is given strictly on the basis of performance in the test and counselling conducted by the school, the board examination result, and the rules given in the school calendar. Students appearing for supplementary examinations are not eligible for admission.

All admissions are subject to scrutiny by the Principal, whose decision is conclusive and final. The Principal reserves the right to refuse any admission without having to assign reasons for such an action.

The school offers Hindi, Informatics Practices and Physical Education as optional subjects. An entrance examination is conducted for those who wish to opt for Informatics Practices or Physical Education. Optional subjects once selected cannot be changed after 15 August.

Conduct

Honesty, cleanliness of person and dress, good manners and loyalty are demanded of each student.
